Michael J. Lunde<\/h1>\n

Lunde\u00a0is a passionate sport angler originally from Pewaukee, Wisconsin.\u00a0 During his undergraduate career, Lunde took particular interest to fish physiology, conservation genetics, fisheries management, and journalism.\u00a0 He graduated with a B.S. in Fisheries Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2012.\u00a0 Through his 6 consecutive years living in Alaska, Lunde worked seasonally as a fisheries technician for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) in Soldotna, guided professionally for various fishing lodge operations on the Talachulitna and Kenai River systems, contributed popular articles to sport-fishing magazine publications, and supervised employees while working as an Assistant Fishing Department Manager at Sportsman\u2019s Warehouse. His recent work has been published in\u00a0Fish Alaska, Alaska Sporting Journal, Salmon & Steelhead Journal, Steelheader\u2019s Journal, Fisheries,\u00a0<\/em>as well as many other popular sport fishing magazine publications. Lunde is also a contributing editor for the Brookwood Press, a publication company based out of Portland, Oregon. At present, Lunde is preparing two books for later release, a book about fly fishing for king salmon entitled\u00a0Chinook Salmon: The Legacy of a King\u00a0<\/em>and a comprehensive angling guide for the Parks Highway in Alaska. Also, Lunde is an accomplished fly tier and Spey casting enthusiast. When not fishing or on the water, Lunde is an avid fitness fanatic with a passion to compete in powerlifting events.<\/p>\n
